It's amazing how God has set everything in motion on this planet based on sowing and reaping. Take for example, in the area of finances, how simple it is to succeed. All you have to do is follow the plan that has been outlined for everyone. I know that most people have heard about the tithe. When you give 10% of all your increase and give it to the church that you are attending. Now tithing is like God giving you the key and allowing you access to the most fertile ground in the world. You with me so far? Good. The next step comes by you giving (sowing) over and above the 10%. This "seed" is now planted and begins to grow. Now over time this seed will produce a plant and then fruit. Now lets say that we are talking about tomato seeds. When you plant the seed it grows and then before you know it you have 10 ripe and beautiful tomatoes. You started with one seed and now you have 10 tomatoes so what you do next is the most important part. You take 1 of the tomatoes and give it to the one who gave you access to the fertile land. Now you have 9 tomatoes. Still with me? Out of the 9 remaining you take 6 home to your family and give one to a neighbor. That leaves you with 2 tomatoes. Now inside each tomato is 25 seeds that can grow new plants and produce new fruit. So here is the math. You now have 6 tomatoes to eat and 50 seeds to plant. You plant (sow) the 50 seeds and in time you will have 50 plants producing 10 tomatoes. WOW. When they are ripe you pick 500 tomatoes and give 50 to the owner of the fertile ground and take 20 home for your family. Then you give 200 of them to friends and neighbors. Now you still have 230 tomatoes left. Thats a lot of tomatoes. In each one you get 25 seeds from them and you plant (sow) them in the fertile ground. At this point you have planted 5750 seeds. Once again when the time is right you will have 5750 plants producing 10 tomatoes each. Do you get the picture. OVERFLOW. God wants all of His children to be prosperous in every area of their lives including finances, knowledge, time, family, and all good things. One last thing; remember the neighbors and friends you gave (sowed) those tomatoes too? Well, those will also bless you. Keep sowing and don't quit.
