Why America?

For too long America has been but a shadow of her destiny. Why does she seem so frail. Who is at the control of the helm of this once mighty ship? Is there any way to turn back and follow the course that was set before her?

Did God abandon America? Of course not! Is America a country full of atheists and non believers? Are the Christians out numbered by those who serve other gods? Is Hollywood the one who is to dictate the course of this country? Maybe the Congress or the President?

Does ABC, CBS,NBC,PBS, or CNN have the wisdom to save this country or its people? Do you trust these people?

This country is a gift that God gave this planet. A light that was to shine bright and reflect His love, His grace, and His character. It was never established so that it would be like any other place in the world.

One day the leadership of this country took prayer out of schools. They decided that abortion was not only OK but was a right. They made it a law so that you could not display the ten commandments in a court house or even on the lawn out front of it. They said that it offends the non believers, the Atheists, and any other religion they could think of. It was not "tolerant" to others.

Well guess what America, it is not the ten suggestions. It is time for the Church to stand up and take back this country. Not with guns, but first with prayer. It is time that the Church to be the Church. Time to exercise the power that God has given us. It is time to put aside what "they" will think about us ans show them who we are. The love of God will shine out and expose what needs to be seen. The Church is not something that can or should be pushed around. We should proclaim the love of Jesus in every way we can. That doesn't mean to preach to everyone but it does mean to love. Let God out of the box that the world has put Him in. How dare we settle for the fact that you can't end a prayer in school with the name of Jesus. The world is His and it is our inheritance.

There is a war going on and just because you choose not to engage does not mean you are safe. If you choose not to engage you are nothing but a coward. It that what we want to be or do we want to live in the victory that God has given us. This country belongs to the people of God not to anyone else. America it is time to return to the course God gave you, but only it's people can make it happen.

Out of the Blue

I am sure that you have heard the expression "out of the blue". People will usually say this when something takes them by surprise. The enemy loves to use this tool to disrupt our day. Just imagine that you are at home you have enjoyed your day and you head off to bed to get a good nights sleep when out of the blue the phone rings and well you can fill in the rest. Christians tend to be taken by complete surprise when something just happens, when bad news comes knocking on the door. It is like they think that they are some how immune to those "out of the blues" because they serve Jesus. Now I don't like it when that happens anymore than any of you do. But I have began to see that things will happen. Cars will break down. People will disappoint us and yes bills will keep coming in as long as we live. When things happen out of the blue, this doesn't mean that you are not living right or that you have made God angry or that you are not praying enough. Maybe I am the only one that has ever felt like that. The bible says in James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, ³because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. God knows that in your life the out of the blues have come and will come. It is a part of life. It's time to face the fact people will talk about you behind your back or that you will some time in your life get sick and even have to endure the death of a friend or loved one. But the thing to remember is that the Lord is with you and has given to you every tool you will need at your disposal. You need not to worry or fret when the trials come because you know that you have the answer and the means to over come it. You are victorious and you are loved by God and nothing can or ever will be able to separate you from His love. When the trials come they will go. Take a moment and look back at the times that the Lord was there in the midst of your trial, one of your out of the blues. Did you make it? Did He abandon you then? In Hebrews 13:8 it says " Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Now if He was ever there for you, you should have complete confidence that He will forever be with you and that He goes before you and knows what the future holds for you. Keep your head up and give God glory for you have and will forever be victorious.

Sins First Covering

Many times have most of us read the first few chapters of Genesis. We know the story of creation and the fall of man into sin but do you know the first time that blood was shed to cover mans sin or nakedness? Do you know who did it? If you know the story of when the serpent deceived Eve in the garden and she took the fruit of the tree of good and evil, blessing and cursing, and gave it also to Adam they realized they were naked and where ashamed. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. Then the Lord came calling them in the cool of the day and they hid from His presence. Once the truth came out then the curse came in and the Lord pronounced judgement on them and the serpent. For the first time in the history of the world, sin came in like a flood and it affected everthing thing on this planet. Now the Lord loved Adam and Eve and He had to do something. He in His wisdom knew that the fig leaves would not do. So the Lord Himself had to do something. In chapter 3 verse 21, the Lord God made them coats of skin. Now where do you think the skins came from? Out of Heaven? No, the Lord had to take something innocent and He Himself had to cause the first shedding of blood. The first of many to come. See, the Lord would not require man to do something that He Himself would not do. Did you ever think about the fact that by His own Word and at His own hand He covered both Adam and Eve. He had to sacrifice one of His innocent creations to cover His most prized and loved of all He had created. What amazing love the Lord has for us all.
